Jun. 13, 2019 | The World's Majestic Rivers in Peril: Views of the Yangtze, Ganges and Mekong Rivers.
André Robert (Professor, LA&PS)

A well-illustrated talk of a four-month journey along the large rivers of Asia, emphasizing human activities and environmental impacts on the river systems. The physical geography of the river basins will be discussed and the impacts of large dams on the rivers' evolution and, in particular, on the populations living on and off the Mekong's delta.
